I was fortunate enough to have a summer picnic from the wonderful Broad Street Kitchen at a staff event in June 2019. The savoury vegetarian pies were flaky, light and delicious and with a tasty range of salads. But my favourite was the salted caramel sauce on the profiteroles, a sensory delight! I am an Italian living in the UK, with special food needs due to an allergy to lactose. How fussy I might be with food is quite self explanatory! We asked Alison and Sarah to prepare lunch for our team in a work meeting. They welcomed us in a fantastic set up in a garden staged as a very posh picnic, although fully eco-friendly. They surprised us with a delicious aperitif, light and refreshing, to continue with a good selection of different courses, suited to all needs. I have been spoiled with lactose-free versions of pies and puddings, absolutely delicious! We all enjoyed the selection of food, the perfect seasoning - full of flavour and nevertheless light and ideal for a work lunch. I could not recommend another catering service more!
